Kim, thanks for the tips! I haven't tried any of those and am always looking for my new favorite wine.

-- Contributed by: KimEmily, I agree with the Penfolds, I love their wine. Though sometimes, when you drink it often, they begin to have the same flavor nuances. Penfolds does make a solid, relatively inexpensive bottle of wine though.

Some friends and I compared a 2006 Yellow Tail Shiraz with a German Rhine valley 2005 Cab-Merlot blend and the Yellow Tail was flat with no life at all. I was embarrassed to have brought it! Earlier at dinner we had the 'house' Shiraz by the glass (Lindemans Carawa Shiraz-Cab 2006) and it was far better than the Yellow tail.
