Alma, my personal favorite cab is Stags Leap. Another good cab for a decent price is The Hess Collection Cab. Check them out and let us know what you think.

Alma,

The Catena Malbec '05 is often hard to find but it is an excellent cab using selling for less than $20. It has a very smooth mouth feel with a husky, woody taste. It comes out of Argentina and can be found at stores with large international inventories.

How about Yellowtail? an Australian Cab/sab about $8. Full bodied, full and richer than any U.S. cab/sab I have tasted here. So far American cab/sabs are too light. Soo natives!-- suggestions please.

if you are looking for a nice cabernet with body and a clean finish, check out louis martini. its usually priced about $18- $20. the best vintage i've found from them is their 2002. they also have a reserve which is a little bit more but well worth it.

Hi Zack, my favorite cabs are Sterling and menage e trois, both are under $20, and very good cabs. Both are available at wal-mart, believe it or not! I enjoy wine but have to stick to a budget, and these are actually better than some much higher priced cabs that I've tried!

Hi, I was wondering if you could help me. I'm looking for a good cheap red wine cabernet (under $20) that would be good in spaghetti sauce as well as to drink with it, that I could find in the local supermarket (meijer, kroger, walmart, etc). I'm from Michigan and new to wine so I'm not sure what to buy. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks, Zack
