About Signals Wine Accessories
As far as wine accessories go, the selection at Signals is somewhat limited but far from boring. Afterall, what wine lover doesn't need a t-shirt that reads "You Had Me at Merlot" or wine glasses that bear their name while encouraging their guests to stay for awhile and have great conversation? Signals is a company from which you can purchase fun, kitschy items like a book about Towel Origami, and a personalized Latitude and Longitude doormat for your home. The tagline on the website is "Gifts that Inform, Enlighten and Entertain" and they definitely deliver, on all three fronts.
Something to Talk About
Signals wine accessories are conversation pieces to be sure. They offer three main items that have to do with the drinking and serving of wine; double wine glasses, personalized wine bar glasses and carafe and a porto decanter set (these items would fall under their entertaining category). The other items offered are in the form of posters, prints, t-shirts and sweatshirts (falling under the informing and enlightening category).
Signals Wine Accessory Products
- Double wine glasses--These wine glasses offer a unique way to save table space at your next dinner party. They feature a red wine glass at one end of the stem and a white wine glass at the other end. Purchase a set of four Double Wine glasses for $35.00.
- Personalized wine bar glasses and carafe--Sold in a set of four glasses and one carafe, this set offers the ability to personalize your wine glasses with up to twelve characters atop a painted grape vine design. The saying "Sit long. Talk much" is added to the bottom of each personalized design. The glasses measure 7 inches and the carafe holds up to one liter. The complete set ranges in cost between $15.98-31.98.
- Porto decanter set—According to Signals, 17th century Europeans sipped their port wine through specially crafted Pfeiffen-Schnapps glasses. Sipping the port through the "pipe" that runs from the bottom of the glass to the lip of the glass was said to enhance its flavors, resulting in a more fulfilling port wine tasting experience. This set includes four hand blown port glasses that measure 3 ½ inches tall and a decanter that measures 11 ¾ inches tall. This interesting set retails for $39.95.
