Tasting Notes:
This is a superb wine and an incredible value. I tasted this after a tasting of '97 cult cabernets averaging $150 per bottle and it held up remarkably well. I dare say I even preferred it to some of the '97 superstars. The winemaker is Gerry Rowland (known for checking the vineyards at midnight - hence the name). This wine is very well rounded, witha thick velvety texture. Ripe blackberries and cassis dominate the taste. This wine is built ready to drink as the tannins are well in balance. No decanting required. What a value. 500 cases made. Go buy it.
