Turley Wine Cellars

The Winemaker is Ehren Jordan, and just to clear up the general confusion, famed Helen Turley is NOT involved in the wine-making, or ownership. Rather the winery is owned by her brother Larry Turley. Having said that, it's hard not to compare the style of a Helen Turley wine and these. The similarities are striking, especially when compared to a Martinelli Zinfandel, which is made by Helen. But lets move on, the fact is that Ehren Jordan is a sensation winemaker, and the wines show the skill. They are frequently rated by the critics as among the best Zinfandel's in any given year. They are not for the faint of heart and typically are very full bodied and high alcohol.

Turley wine is typically hard to get. Call them and get on their mailing list (or more likely the waiting list for their mailing list). Or you can purchase a selection of thier wines from their tasting room, if you go their in person.

Tasting room is located in Templeton, CA, which is the previous Pesenti Winery, which Turley bought in May of 2000.
